Betty Layward Primary School is a very
popular two-form entry primary school
situated in Stoke Newington, London.
The PTFA (Parents, Teachers and Friends Association) was formed when The Betty Layward Primary School first opened in 2000. On joining the school, you automatically become a member of our organisation.
Notified to class reps to organise and publicised in the newsletter.
Jumble Sale

Normally from 10am to midday. Jumble sale plus refreshments (cakes and biscuits).
Variety Show

Staff led and a team of attending parents (asked to serve for 10 minutes each). Someone needs to buy biscuits and check we have enough refreshments.
Eid Festival

Runs from 4.30pm to 6pm, outside Daniel House. Food provided by the school community to celebrate the breaking of the fast, and music (sound system organised by the school)

Summer Fiesta

Usually held after school – at around 5pm. Food (burgers and hot dogs), cocktails and mocktails plus beer and other soft drinks. Live music or DJ.

Governance
The PTFA has a committee of six trustees however, every parent and carer at the school is a member of the PTFA and are always encouraged and welcome to become as involved in the PTFA as they would like.
