Dear Parents and Carers,
What a great start to the year. We have had a fab first term. I am so proud of how well our new reception and nursery children have settled in. It’s like they have been here forever. Well done Nursery and Reception. Thank you to all our new parents too for being so supportive with the transition and all your kind and positive words.
Well done Peach class for such a great assembly yesterday. They taught us all about habitats and sang a great song which taught us even more. Well done Peach class.
We have a lot going on in November so I just wanted to remind you. Grandparent week begins 5th November. It will be the same as last year but for those of you who don’t know about it this is an opportunity for Grandparents to come in and share stories or their memories with the children. If you would like your child’s grandparent to come to school please see your class teacher. There will be slots for them to come and talk to the class at the end of each day that week. We loved it last year as it gave grandparents a chance to come in to school and for our children to find out how life has changed.
Parents Evening is on Thursday 8th November and bookings will open on Tuesday 30th October at 5pm and close on Tuesday 6th November at 5pm. It is really important that you make an appointment. You will receive more information about booking interviews on Monday 29th October.
Anti-bullying week is from 12th – 16th November and we are asking the children to wear odd socks on Monday 12th November.and to bring in donations for the charity the Anti Bullying Alliance.
School uniform supplies have arrived. We have a new colour polo shirt which is yellow/gold as well as green. You are now able to purchase some items of uniform directly from the school office.
Look out for all the other dates next term too. Christmas is fast approaching!
I want to thank you again for all your ongoing support and hope you have a lovely half term.
