Dear Parents and Carers,

We have come to the end of our first term this academic year
and what a great term it’s been. Our new Reception and
Nursery children have settled in incredibly well and have had
a very successful first term. I love popping in to see them and
see their smiling faces. All the children have settled really well
into their new year groups and have worked really hard this
term. Well done everyone. A big thank you also to the staff
who work incredibly hard and thank you for also making our
new members of staff feel so welcome.

Thank you to all the parents who come in and help on a
regular basis. We really appreciate this support and it makes
a difference for our children. We would still appreciate more
helpers, especially in Year 3 with reading. Please let us know
if you are able to help. Thank you.

We are currently working on developing our Reception
outdoor area. As well as purchasing new resources we like to
use recycled items and a local garage have donated tyres
and a local electrician has donated cable reels but we are
always looking for other items for the children to use. This
includes scaffolding planks, decking planks, guttering and
drainpipes. If you have or know anyone who can donate
these they would be very welcome. We would also like to ask
if you know any companies getting rid of computers as we
always need computers in school. Thank you for supporting
us with this.

Thank you to those of you who attended the PTFA meetings
yesterday. It was lovely to see you there. Every parent and
carer is automatically a member of the PTFA and we
appreciate your support. We said thank you to Adam and
Andy for their hard work as Chairs, Julia as Secretary and
Hugh as treasurer. They have been amazing for the last
couple of years and I would like to say thank you for all their
dedication and time spent supporting the school and raising
an amazing amount of money.

Thank you to those of you who were able to attend the Maths
workshop today. It was great to see so many of you there. We
hope you found it useful. We will put the PowerPoint on the
website.

Thank you for all your help and support during our first term. It
is much appreciated. Have a really lovely half term.
