Dear Parents and Carers,

Thank you so much for all your donations to the
Hackney Foodbank. It’s been lovely seeing all the
children bringing them in and understanding the
importance of helping others. Thank you for supporting
us with this. I know the food bank is going to be very
grateful and thank you for helping us support a very
worthy cause.

Emerald Class performed an excellent assembly this
week. Some up and coming comedians followed by
some amazing facts about light and light sources from
their current science topic. We also enjoyed the
wonderful shadow puppet performance and their joyful
rendition of Moonshadow.

We had our first practice fire drill this week. Terry and I
planned it in advance as we like to see how quickly and
quietly the children can exit outside. They did incredibly
well. They left their classrooms and lined up outside in
under two minutes. It was calm and the children were
excellent. Well done everyone.

Please can I remind you that the children are unable to
come in to collect items when school has finished or
after clubs. We are asking them to be responsible for
their own items and to remember them. Thank you for
supporting us with this.

I hope you have a lovely weekend. It’s going to be a
sunny one; maybe the last sunny one we have for a

I look forward to seeing you all on Monday.
