Dear Parent and Carers,

What fantastic weather we have had this week. It’s been lovely.

Year 2 had a great trip to the Tower of London on Monday and I was fortunate enough to be able to accompany them. We had a great day and the children were brilliant. Year 4 also had a great day at the Science Museum learning all about electricity.

After the sad event at Grenfell Tower we have decided that 20% of the money raised at the Summer Fair should go to this cause. I am sure you will agree that this is a worthwhile cause and something, as a school, we should support. We hope you have the Summer Fair date in your diary and can either help or attend. I’m really looking forward to it. Let’s hope the sun is still shining.

It was a year ago today when Jo Cox lost her life. We showed a video to the children in assembly this morning which celebrated her and told them about the events that are taking place all across the country where people are getting together and having a picnic or a tea party.

We have lots of fun things coming up- Sports Day, Summer Fair, BBQ, Year 6 show and assembly as well as Blastonbury. I hope all the dates are in your diary and that we will see you there.

I hope you have also received your invite to our Eid Celebration. We hope you can make it.

Year 6 will be out next week on their PGL trip. They are very excited. We hope they have a great time.

I hope you enjoy the sunshine this weekend

Best wishes.
