Dear Parents and Carers,
This is our last newsletter for 2016. It’s been a great term and I have loved getting to know the children, staff and all of you. Thank you for making me feel so welcome. The children are amazing and impress me every day. The staff here are dedicated and hardworking and it is great to be part of such a fantastic team.
The Winter Fair on Saturday was amazing. I was so impressed by all the support and how well it went. Thank you to those of you who attended and helped. Money raised really makes a difference to the school and our children.
This week Reception and Year 1 performed two marvellous shows. The children were outstanding. Thank you to the staff who worked very hard on the production. Ruby class also performed a fabulous assembly on the British Isles. It was entertaining and full of interesting facts. Well done to our choir who performed at Stoke Newington on Thursday evening.
Thank you for supporting our Christmas jumper day for Save the Children. They looked fantastic. We had a great Christmas lunch today too. The children will be having their Christmas parties on Monday afternoon. Thank you for any donations. Please do not bring anything in that may contain nuts.
I am looking forward to the concert on Tuesday. I apologise for the change in venue but the logistics at Stoke Newington just didn’t work this time. The arrangements are 2pm for years 2 to 4 and 2:45pm for Years 5 and 6 in the school hall. Please be patient with us while each concert starts and finishes.
A huge congratulations to Salwa who had a baby boy yesterday. We can’t wait to meet him.
I wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New year. I look forward to continuing to work with you all in 2017.
