Dear Parents and Carers,
I hope you have had a good week. We definitely have. Jade class performed a lovely assembly yesterday on the Stone Age. Some children were away due to sickness and other children quickly stepped in and did a fabulous job. They taught us a lot of interesting facts. Well done Jade class.
Our School Development Plan targets have been set for the year. These are the main areas we will be working on. We will also continue working on other things too. These targets are the areas that are highlighted through looking at data, our Ofsted etc and because we are always striving to give our children the best education possible.
The targets are –
Further develop consistency of teaching and learning so teaching across the school is judged to be outstanding and progress and attainment are high across the school in all area.
Develop the vocabulary of disadvantaged pupils so that differences in reading and writing are diminished.
Ensure that all leaders are clear on their responsibilities in the school, and are effective in strategically measuring and evaluating their impact on improving pupils’ outcomes
Any questions please ask.
Please remember that the children can wear odd socks on Monday 12th November and we will be raising money for the Anti Bullying Alliance at the beginning of Anti Bullying Week.
The children were visited by the Reverend Dilly Baker, the local Rector of St Mary’s Church in Stoke Newington. She talked to the children about Harvest. Thank you for your harvest donations so far. We have a table in the Reception area if you would like to make a donation. Dried goods and tins are welcome. Thanks for supporting us with this. The donations will be given to a local Stoke Newington Food Bank.
We currently have a sickness bug in the school. Please follow the school policy for children not being able to attend until 48 hours after their last bout of sickness or diarrhoea. If we do not follow this policy, the sickness bug will spread quickly around the school. Thank you for your support with this.
I hope you all have a lovely weekend.
