Dear Parents and Carers,
Well done to Reception who have settled in really well. They are so positive and enthusiastic and are doing really well at lunchtime. I’m really enjoying getting to know them and I’m so proud of how well they are doing already.
Thank you for those of you who have attended the meet the teacher meetings this week. We hope you have found them informative. Any questions please do ask. We are always happy to help.
Year 6 Chilli continue their project with the Evening Standard, the Independent and Warchild. Please look out for it in the papers. It is a very interesting and valuable project.
I have organised for Year 3 to be part of the Steve McQueen Tate Project. Steve McQueen, the film director, is enlisting thousands of school children to help create perhaps the most ambitious artwork ever seen at Tate Britain. The artist has invited primary schools to join his project to create a unique portrait of every single Year Three pupil in London. Photographs of some 115,000 pupils will be taken by 30 Tate photographers over the next nine months. This will then be on show from November 2019 until May 2020. Our Year 3s will be having their photos taken in October. Permission letters are on their way. What a great idea and one we will look forward to being part of.
Apologies for the gate not working the other day. They have been automated and we are having a couple of glitches. Hopefully all is rectified now. Thank you for your patience.
It is important that the children drink water throughout the day so please provide your child with a water bottle. They can then access these throughout the day.
We are currently working with our new uniform provider. Thank you to those of you who have given us order forms. These will be sent off and we will also be stocking a small amount in school too.
Have a great weekend.
