No 380, Friday 8th June 2018

Dear Parents and Carers,

I hope you had a good holiday. Apologies for the tipi not
being here when you returned back to school. Unfortunately
the haulage company could not bring it down from the
North. I am currently trying to organise another date. I will
keep you informed.

I can’t believe it’s the last term of this academic year. It’s
gone so fast and we are really proud of the children and how
well they have done. Year 6 approached their Sats with
confidence and were calm and relaxed. Well done Year 6.

There is a lot going on this term so please check your dates
letter. Parents and Carers week is very soon. We are really
looking forward to seeing you in school. Please make sure
you have signed up. It’s a great opportunity to share some of
the school day with your child.

20p day is also approaching and a lot of the children are
telling me how well they are doing collecting 20p’s. Thank
you for supporting us with this.

The Summer Fair is on 30th June and thank you in advance
for any help during this event. I look forward to seeing you
there.

This year we will be having a garden party for the Year 6
Parents after the leaver’s assembly on the 19th July. It’s an
opportunity to say thank you and goodbye. More details to
follow.

I am really pleased to announce we have a new co-opted
Governor – Adam Roland. Adam is currently a Year 6 parent
and has contributed a lot to Betty Layward already. We look
forward to welcoming him to his new role.

Have a lovely weekend.
