Dear Parents and Carers,

What a busy week this has been. As you know we had Ofsted in this week. We will be receiving the report in two to three weeks. We will be able share it with you then. It was a privilege to show David Lloyd, the inspector, our school. The children were fantastic and demonstrated how hard they work and how happy they are.

I would also like to say a massive thank you for all your support. It really meant a lot. Myself and the staff appreciated all your kind words and support. I am so proud to be part of the Betty Layward community.Thank you to all the staff who work very hard and are so dedicated to the education and happiness of the children. Betty Layward is a very special place and one we are all very proud of.

Aqua Reception class performed their first assembly on Thursday and didn’t they do well. They were the best mini beasts I have ever seen and their singing was incredible, especially as they sang without music due to a technical hitch. They had learnt a lot of lines and read them with confidence. Well done Aqua class.

We have BLastonbury next week on Friday afternoon. Fingers crossed the weather stays nice. We really look forward to seeing you there.

The PTFA meetings were postponed this week and are now taking place on Thursday. I look forward to seeing you there too.

The weather looks lovely this weekend and I really hope you have a very nice bank holiday weekend.

Thank you again for all your support. Betty Layward is very lucky to have such great parents and carers.
