No 351, Friday 8th September 2017

Dear Parents and Carers,

Welcome back. It’s great to be back and see everyone. We hope you had a great summer. The children have come back to school keen and smiling and have already settled in really well. We have an exciting year ahead and lots to look forward to and I am looking forward to working with all of you, as well as the children.

The children love the new school lunches. One child said ‘I’m in heaven’ and another said ‘I think this could be my best year’. The staff are also thoroughly enjoying them.

We ask that the children bring their own named water bottle to school every day. We ask that the bottle has a sports bottle top as they will be kept on the children’s tables in class and we don’t want them to spill on to their or someone else’s work. We are doing this so children have access to water throughout the day.

If you wish for your child to have a snack if they go to a club after school, please provide them with one. This snack must only be a piece of fruit not crisps, bars etc. Thank you.

Please could you ensure all your details are up to date in case we need to contact you. If your child is in years 5 or 6 please ensure that you have given permission if you want them to walk home on their own.

Breakfast club starts at 8. Please do not drop your child off any earlier than 8. We have spaces and Reception children can attend.

Please remember in Key Stage 1 and Reception children are collected at the end of the day from their classrooms. Please ensure the school adult can see you. If you have someone else picking your child up we will not let them go home with them unless we have been informed.

Please remember we operate an open door policy and if you ever need to come and chat to any of us please do not hesitate to do so. Here’s to a great year. It’s fab to be back.
