Dear Parents/Carers,

What a great week and a great term we have had.

Lavender class performed an excellent assembly on the book- Where the Wild Things are. They retold the story beautifully and we were all really impressed. Well done Lavender class.

Thank you to those of you who came and supported the Variety show. It was an entertaining evening and great to see so many of you there supporting the school. We watched a variety of acts and it was great to see so many of our children showing off their talents. Well done to our Variety acts. A big thank you to the staff who spent their time putting the show together. We hope you all enjoyed it too.

We have also had a super Science week this week. The children enjoyed the Science show on Monday and have been carrying out some interesting Science experiments, some being very messy!

The children had an Easter hunt in school today, which they thoroughly enjoyed. It was great seeing them hunt for eggs and enjoying themselves.

The photographers will be in school on Thursday 27th April to take the class photos.

Thank you for another great term. It’s hard to believe that we are approaching the Summer term. You should be very proud of how hard your children are working. It is a pleasure spending time with them. I hope you all have a lovely holiday and we look forward to seeing you on Tuesday 18th April, ready for the Summer term. It’s a busy term and I’m looking forward to all the events. Thank you for all your support and we look forward to continuing to work with you. A big thank you to all the staff too for all their hard work. Betty Layward is lucky to have such a great team of children, staff, parents and carers.

We are happy also to inform you that we raised £399.84 for Comic Relief.

Have a great holiday. I hope the sun continues to shine.
