No 339, Friday 17th March 2017
Dear Parents and Carers,
We have really enjoyed the sun shining this week and the warmer weather. Long may it last.
We had a fire alarm test this week and I was really impressed with how quickly and calmly the children went outside. We let them know how impressed we were.
Thank you for attending Parent’s evening. We hope you found it helpful and informative. We are always happy to ask any questions and operate an open door policy. It was great to see so many of you there.
A reminder that it is Comic Relief next Friday. Please can your child wear something red to school. They do not need to wear uniform that day. Any voluntary donations are very welcome. Thank you for supporting this.
Thank you to those of you who have already bought your Variety Show tickets. It is on Friday 24th March at 5:30pm. All parents and children are welcome. It should be a fun and entertaining evening so please join us. Tickets are available for sale in the school office – £4 for adults and children are free.
Our Year 5 children have been enjoying their cycling training this week. It’s been great to see them on their bikes.
It is World Down Syndrome Day on Tuesday 21st March. We have been raising awareness of what Down syndrome is, what it means to have Down syndrome and how people with Down syndrome play a vital role in our lives and communities. Nursery will be rocking brightly coloured socks on Tuesday. All children are also welcome to wear brightly coloured socks on that day to show awareness too.
Have a great weekend.
